Clamps

These are 2 clamps I'm using to hold the mold together. Do they look familiar ? They work like a charm.

This design seems to work best & I have a place by the tail to hold a Place Card.

This is a 3 piece mold unassembled.

Plaster is poured for the first half. I will wait a day before I shellac the face of the second mating piece. Then repeat the process.

Then I make a box to hold the plaster that I will pour into it.

Dolphins New Design

I decided to do away with the head & tail bit. So we will have two of them crossing each other, for now, unless I change again. May have to change the base . Hope to make a mold soon. 

Sculpt-Model

Well it's getting a little better. I figure a place card may hang off the Dolphins nose. The tail on the left side needs to be a little longer. What I'm trying to accomplish is one coming out of the water, one completely out of the water & on the left side going into the water. 

A Sculpt

This is a rough sculpt of what I am trying to achieve. Long ways to go yet. 

Dolphins

This is the beggining of a sculpture. they call this greenware, very brittle. The end result will be napkin holders. Like to figure in a place card. will have to sketch something before I begin to sculpt.
