Slip Casting of the Dolphin

 

Dolphin Mold second half

I coated the first half with shellac, so when I poured the second half it wouldn't stick. I cut in a chute for pouring the slip. Next step is to pour in some slip & we will see what comes out. A Dolphin I hope.

I will pour Art Plaster into frame & place Dolphin 1/2 way into plaster for 1/2 of mold. I will keep you posted as I do each step.

This Vaz was poured, fired, glazed, & painted by greenturtle. It has a scroll inside that tells the story of the Great White Knight.
